Welcome Interested Retreat and Event Planners!

Thanks so much for your interest in Winnamocka for a retreat!  Here on our website you will find a Retreat Planner, information and pricing for our Ropes Course, as well as Fort Jackson Cabin rental details, and Additional Activity Options. Following is more information to help you know us better.  We would love to have your group at Winnamocka in the future!

Camp Winnamocka consists of 220 acres of trails, lakes, jungle lagoons, and so much more.  Our Wilderness Lodge is our eating and meeting facility that is made solely out of logs and glass with decks stretching over a 13-acre lake.  It is perfect for seminars, classroom, or simply relaxing by the 35 foot fireplace.

Fort Jackson is our huge pioneer fort that sleeps up to 148 in bunk style rooms.  These are not your everyday camp style rooms.  They have air-conditioning and heat, and private baths.  They are definitely first rate.  The atmosphere of actually sleeping in a real pioneer fort is unmatched! Corporate groups, church groups, and youth are just some of the groups that enjoy this one of a kind get-a-way.

The Ropes Course at Winnamocka is excellent for retreats.  Through games and initiatives participants gain concepts of teamwork, communication skills, leadership skills, accountability, trust, etc.  The high elements promote self-confidence and pride as each individual decides for herself/himself whether to climb 5 feet or 35 feet up trees, ropes, and poles.  All are surrounding a 35 foot Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.  We also have a 450 foot zipline that takes harnessed participants whizzing from the high elements.  It is truly an exciting and rewarding experience.  We can do half days or full days of low element ropes only or a full day of low and high element ropes.

We have canoeing, funyaking, treasure hunts, swimming or relaxing by the pool, Pirate Ship rides, s’more roasts, hayrides, all of which can make your stay at Winnamocka unforgettable.  However, if your group just desires to meet, relax, explore trails, and fish Winnamocka is also the place to be.  We customize retreats specifically for each group.

Again, we can do half day, whole day, overnight, or multiple night retreats – whatever your group desires!  Call us with any questions.  We would love to have you all in the future!

Sincerely from Fort Jackson,
The Winnamocka Team
