General Information for Planning

Event Planning Suggestions: Our catering menus are offered as a guide to your selections. Our staff will be happy to work with you on your individual needs. Just tell us the number you expect, and we will calculate the amount of food needed for your group. Our goal is to make your group’s meeting, seminar, party, or event a success.

Guaranteed Number of Guests: Camp Winnamocka must have a guaranteed number of expected guests within 5 working days of your event. On the final billing you will be charged for the guaranteed number or the actual attendance, whichever is greater.

Deposit & Cancellations: A nonrefundable deposit of $250.00 is required to officially reserve your date. If you are interested in a date call the directors anytime and they will be happy to assist you. Due to other interested groups that might have been turned away from your reserved date the $250.00 deposit is nonrefundable. If you cancel 30 days before an event there is no extra charge. If you cancel under 30 days to 10 working days before your event you will be charged an additional $100.00. If you cancel under 10 working days to 5 working days before your event you will be charged an additional $250.00. If you cancel anytime after 5 working days you will be charged for all meal costs for your guaranteed number of guests.

Payment: The balance is due the day of service. If special arrangements need to be made for pre-payment or other circumstances contact the camp office.

Sales Tax & Gratuity: Sales tax on food sales is 8% and gratuity is 15%. This is not included in the prices on the menu.

Carry out/Carry in of Food: Due to local Health and Licensing Regulations, it is our policy that no food be brought into or taken from the Wilderness Lodge. Any food remaining after any party or catered event is the property of Camp Winnamocka, Inc. due to the risk of improper handling and storage of food items leaving our supervision.

Event Decorations: Winnamocka welcomes groups to bring decorations to help accent their event. Glitter, confetti, and burning objects (other than normal candles) are prohibited. If helium balloons are used, it is the responsibility of the applicant to retrieve stray balloons from the ceiling.

Shuttle Service: Winnamocka can provide shuttle services, drivers, and vans for parties. This fee depends on the number of vans and drivers required and the length of time available.

Audio Equipment: The Wilderness Lodge provides two microphones. Our sound system is available for speaking purposes and soft dinner music.

Rental Equipment:
LCD Projector and Screen – $50 per day
VCR/DVD and TV – $50 per day
